Dr. Ashish Agarwal said that if someone dies due to a bee entering the mouth, it is a bit difficult to prove it, but if a bee bites the tongue, it causes a severe allergic reaction, which is called anaphylaxis in our language and Kounis Syndrome in medical terms. This is the documentary mechanism of death.

Can someone die due to a bee sting in the mouth?

He said that something similar must have happened in Sanjay Kapoor’s case as well because when a bee bites the tongue, its poison immediately gets mixed in the blood. Due to which there is a possibility of severe anaphylaxis and in such a case, the person dies due to cardiac arrest.

He also told that someone can have an allergic reaction due to food or insect bite. Someone can have that allergic reaction in the form of itching. Its most serious condition is severe anaphylaxis. In anaphylaxis, the person’s blood pressure suddenly drops, the heartbeat increases and the patient may have cardiac arrest.

Actually, some chemicals are released in the blood due to a bee bite, such as leukotriene, cytokines and thermoxycin. All these chemicals together dilate the heart’s veins. This causes it to shrink and a clot is suddenly formed inside it, which causes cardiac arrest and the person dies.

“It is important to take the patient to the hospital immediately”

Dr. Agarwal said that how much time the patient has in this disease depends on each person. But in such cases, the patient should be taken to the hospital as soon as possible. On reaching the hospital, if the patient’s pulse and blood vessel are not found, then he is immediately given an adrenaline injection so that his heart can be revived immediately.

Disease is possible for patients of any age: Doctor

He said that allergic reaction or anaphylaxis can cause death to a person of any age. However, if someone is older and already has sugar-BP problems, then the possibility of death from such anaphylaxis reaction increases.

What should people with allergies do?

Regarding allergies, Dr. Agarwal said that ideally there is no treatment for allergy. But in such a case, the patient is advised that if he is allergic to anything – medicine, dust, food or any other thing, then he has to stay away from it. In mild allergies, some medicines or steroids can be given to the patient, but if someone gets anaphylaxis, then he is given adrenaline injection only.

Meanwhile, close friends and family of Sanjay Kapoor, Chairman of Sona Comstar Limited, have denied the media reports which said that he died due to a bee sting.
