Ever since his wife gave birth, Aarav — a young father living in a suburban district of Pune — had been extra cautious in caring for their firstborn son. The family owned a black Rottweiler named Kalu. Normally, Kalu was gentle and affectionate with everyone in the household, and would often lie beside baby Veer’s crib, keeping a protective watch over his sleep.
