SHEFALI JARIWALA FUNERAL: HEARTBREAKING SCENES AS SHEHNAAZ GILL COLLAPSES IN TEARS – “COME BACK, DIDI!”

Mumbai, June 29 – A somber silence fell over Oshiwara crematorium today as family, friends, and fans gathered to bid a tearful farewell to actress and dancer Shefali Jariwala, famously known for her iconic song Kaanta Laga. But it was the heart-wrenching moment when Shehnaaz Gill, whom Shefali lovingly called “sister,” broke down uncontrollably that left the crowd in absolute shock.

😢 A SEA OF TEARS AND WHITE ROSES

Wrapped in a pale white saree and visibly trembling, Shehnaaz Gill arrived early, accompanied by close family members and fellow actors from the TV and film industry. As soon as Shefali’s body was brought out, draped in the Indian tricolor with white roses laid across her chest, Shehnaaz rushed to her side and cried out, “Didi, you promised you’d never leave me!”.

Her scream pierced the silence. She then collapsed at the feet of the body, shaking, sobbing uncontrollably, and pleading with those around her to “wake Shefali up.” It took three women to physically lift Shehnaaz and escort her to the side as she continued to cry, “How will I live without her?”

💔 A BOND BEYOND BLOOD

While not biological sisters, Shefali and Shehnaaz shared a deep emotional bond, often calling each other “soul sisters.” The two met during an industry charity event years ago, and ever since, their friendship blossomed into something many considered stronger than family.

In one of Shehnaaz’s past interviews, she had said:

“Shefali is my safe place. She’s the only one who understands my silence.”

Today, those words echoed in every sob that shook Shehnaaz’s body.

🌹 CELEBRITIES TURN OUT TO PAY THEIR RESPECTS

The funeral saw a host of celebrities and friends in attendance:

Rakhi Sawant, who broke down in front of the cameras, saying, “Shefali was light. What will we do now in this darkness?”

Aly Goni, silent and visibly shaken, avoided cameras but offered his condolences to the family.

Hina Khan, who came directly from her shoot, was seen praying quietly near the body.

Police and private security struggled to maintain crowd control as hundreds of fans gathered outside the gates, chanting “Shefali Amar Rahe” and holding placards reading “Queen of Kaanta Laga – You’ll Live Forever.”

🔥 THE FINAL RITUAL: A PAINFUL GOODBYE

As the final rites were performed by Shefali’s younger cousin, her mother fainted during the ceremony and had to be taken to a private room. But the most painful moment came when Shehnaaz stepped forward to place a handwritten letter and a friendship bracelet into the funeral pyre.

The note reportedly read:

“This is not the end. Just a pause. I’ll find you again in another life.”

When the flames rose, Shehnaaz covered her face and whispered, “My sister is fire. She will rise.”

🕯️ SHEFALI’S LASTING LEGACY

Shefali Jariwala’s funeral wasn’t just a goodbye — it was a reminder of how deeply she had impacted people’s lives. She lived with boldness, loved without boundaries, and left behind a vacuum impossible to fill.

And as the fire turned to ash, Shehnaaz Gill stood tall, tear-streaked, her voice breaking but clear:

“You may be gone, Didi, but I will carry you in every step, every dance, every dream. Always.”

Siddharth Shukla Death: Shefali Jariwala got angry after seeing the crowd gathering on Shahnaz Gill at Siddharth’s funeral, said – there was a circus going on in the funeral. Since the death of Bigg Boss 13 winner Siddharth Shukla, some videos of his funeral are continuously going viral on social media in which a crowd is seen gathering on Shahnaz Gill. Many celebs like Suyyash Rai, Gauhar Khan, Anushka Sharma, Saqib Saleem, Disha Parmar, Zarine Khan, Humar Qureshi condemned this behavior of the paparazzi, after which Shefali has now reacted to it angrily.

Shefali Jariwala recently said in a conversation with Hindustan Times, it was very angry to see how people were following him. People should have seen his condition. My heart was breaking after seeing this. This was not right. Shahnaz and Siddharth’s mother, sisters were mourning, you people should have given them space and privacy. This is basic sympathy, where is the mercy. I understand ratings and other things but not at this cost.

Siddharth was a very private person – Shefali

Shefali, who was Siddharth’s co-contestant in Bigg Boss 13, further said, this was very disturbing. And to know that Siddharth and his family like to remain very private. His mother is very private, so seeing her death being made a spectacle like this was very disturbing for me. Siddharth never wanted this. There was a circus going on at his funeral.

Let us tell you that Shefali Jariwala attended Siddharth Shukla’s funeral at Oshiwara crematorium on 3 September. Apart from this, Shefali also reached the actor’s house to meet his family on 2 September.
